چکیده
Background A previous study has demonstrated the feasibility of 3D phase-resolved functional lung (PREFUL) MRI in healthy volunteers and patients with chronic pulmonary disease. Before clinical use, repeatability ventilation parameters derived from PREFUL must be determined. Purpose To evaluate to compare testing (PFT). Study Type Prospective. Population Fifty-three subjects 13 obstructive disease (COPD). Field Strength/Sequence prototype stack-of-stars spoiled-gradient-echo sequence at 1.5 T. Assessment participants underwent repeated examination (median time interval between scans COPD/healthy [interquartile range]: 7/0 days [6–8/0–0 days]) one PFT carried out baseline MRI. For PREFUL, regional (RVent) flow-volume loops were computed rated by cross-correlation (CC). Also, time-to-peak (VTTP) was computed. Ventilation defect percentage (VDP) maps obtained for RVent CC. Statistical Tests Repeatability evaluated using Bland–Altman analysis, coefficient variation (COV) intraclass correlation (ICC). The relation measures (forced expiratory volume 1 second (FEV1) forced vital capacity (FVC) assessed Pearson (r). Results In COPD patients, no significant bias (all P range: 0.09–0.77) a moderate good RVent, VTTP, VDPRVent found (COV 0.1%–18.2%, ICC 0.51–0.88). CC VDPCC 0.6%–43.6%, ICC: 0.38–0.60). CC, VDPRVent, showed FEV1 |r| > 0.58, all < 0.05) FEV1/FVC ratio 0.62, 0.05). Data Conclusion provided correlated well FEV1/FVC. Level Evidence 2 Technical Efficacy Stage

Statins and Pulmonary Hypertension in Chronic Obstructive Lung Disease
Chronic obstructive lung disease (COPD) is a chronic multisystem disease with a considerable burden. One of its most common complications is pulmonary artery hypertension (PAH). It has been demonstrated that the development of PAH is correlated with decreased quality of life and survival. Different medications have been proposed for the treatment of PAH, among which one can name statins. Howeve...
متن کاملVitamin D status and distribution in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease versus healthy controls
Background: Vitamin D has a potential to modulate inflammatory response against noxious particles in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). The present study was conducted to determine the status of serum vitamin D in COPD versus healthy group. Methods: The patients presented to the outpatient pulmonary clinic of Ayatollah Rouhani Hospital, Babol Iran. Diagnosis of...
متن کاملAspergillus colonization in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease
Background and Purpose: Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) has been recognized as a risk factor for invasive aspergillosis. Airway colonization by Aspergillus species is a common feature of chronic pulmonary diseases. Nowadays, the incidence of COPD has increased in critically ill patients. The aim of the present study was to isolate and identify Aspergillus colonies in the respirator...
متن کاملThe Lipid Profile Parameter in Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease Patients and Correlation with Severity of Disease
Introduction: More than 90% of the deaths caused by chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) occur in the low- and middle -income countries. The main aim of this study was to investigate the lipid profile levels in COPD patients and examine the correlation of total cholesterol, triglycerides, low-density lipoproteins, high density lipoproteins, and LDL/HDL risk ratio with COPD stages that a...
